FeliciaCoalson_42CFelicia joined the firm in 2015. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1995 with a B.S. degree in Biology and Genetics. After working for two years in an underprivileged school teaching science she decided to pursue her desire for a law degree. She graduated from the University Of Memphis School Of Law in 2000 with her Juris Doctorate. While in law school she participated in Moot Court and received accommodation for her work with senior citizens through her Elder Law Clinic. She was admitted to the Eastern and Western Districts of Tennessee and State Court in 2000.

While in law school, Felicia clerked with the City Attorney for the City of Memphis, where she assisted with a large affirmative action suit. She helped organize, facilitate, and run the press office for the U.S. Presidential stay in Memphis in the summer of 1999. After graduating from law school, she was hired as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Memphis. As an Assistant City Attorney she gained experience in litigation and contract compliance; advised the Emergency Management Agency; and worked with Finance, Pension, Engineering and Alcohol Commission; as well as Public Works, Police and Fire Departments. After leaving the City of Memphis and coming back to East Tennessee, Felicia gained experience in private practice. She has experience in Real Estate Sales and Law, and Debtor and Creditor Bankruptcy.

Then Felicia made the transition from practicing to practicing her passion. Felicia has always been interested in seniors and the special issues they face, but in 2010 she decided to learn everything she could about Elder Law. Felicia feels privileged to be part of the Owings, Wilson & Coleman team where she is working to obtain her Elder Law Certification while she assists clients with their Estate Planning and Probate needs.
